UDP-sugar derivatives reveal novel dynamic features of blood group glycosyltransferases

SsAPRTase is to our knowledge the fi rst archaean APRTase to be structurally characterized.We will present dimeric P6 1 structures of "apo" SsAPRTase (with PO 4 3-) together with the complexes SsAPRTase:AMP (product) and SsAPRTase:ADP (inhibitor) based on ESRF (Grenoble) synchrotron data to about 2.4 Å resolution.
