Abstract: For years measurement of proteins is a routine method in medical laboratories. The principles of these methods are discussed. The use of laser beam for detection of immunocomplexes is a new method for measuring proteins. The principles of apparatus working with laser beams are demonstrated. The special physical qualities of laser beams achieve a high sensitivity in laser nephelometry and laser photometry.
