Es wird an Hand von Messungen gezeigt, daß die Photoaktivität moderner Sensibilisierungsfarbstoffe nicht auf eine photochemische Zersetzung (Ausbleichung) zurückgeht, sondern auf einen den anorganischen Stoffen analogen Photoeffekt der Farbstoffmoleküle. Dies führt im Zusammenhang mit energetischen Betrachtungen des Farbstoff/AgBr‐Systems zu einer Bestätigung des früher diskutierten Sensibilisierungsmechanismus und zu einer Erklärung der Energieübertragung bei der photographischen Sensibilisierung.
