Über die Wandverluste an ähnlichen positiven Säulen der Neon‐Niederdruck‐Glimmentladung

Abstract: In positive columns of neon low pressure glow discharges ion wall current densities are measured by sampling the ions through a small hole in the wall of the discharge tube. The results are compared for different discharge conditions and agree with the predictions of the B‐invariant similarity rules given by Rutscher et al. The values of the wall current densities are compared with theoretical wall losses calculated from the charge carrier balance of neon low pressure column in low current region.
