“…Figure 5 is a photomicrograph of a composite fraction more dense than 1 data reported in figure 7 that over 90 % of the phosphorylase is located in the supernatant when chloroplasts are isolated in a variety of aqueous media. This is in agreement with results already published (15,18,20). On the other hand, the most pure fraction of chloroplasts (density < 1.32) isolated in nonaqueous media contained 65 % of the recovered chlorophyll and 35 % of the recovered phosphorylase (fig 8).…”
