EinleitungDie folgenden Darstellungen und Uberlegungen sind als ein V0rschlag zu betrachten; sic sind hypothetisch und besch~iftigen sich mit der Anordnung yon Groi3-Lineamenten in Raum und Zeit.Ausgehend yon einem ,,tektonischen" Modellversuch wird das PhSnomen des Lineamentes definiert und fr/ihere mechanisdm Interpretationen angedeutet. Es folgt eine Besprechung der Lineament-Anordnung in Teilregionen der Erde, anschlieBend eine Besprechung der Inventurmethodik, ein Erscheinungs-oder Zeitplan typiseher Mega-Lineamente (im Sinne von TANNER 1964) und endlieh ein auf das erw/ihnte Modell bezogener Einordnungsversuch von Lineamentmustern in den ErdkSrper.Das Experiment und das gedankliehe Modell entbehren zun'~dast/eder mathematisehen Basis; die Darstellung erfolgt trotz eigener Vorbehalte, weitere Schritte analytiseher oder quantitativer Art sollen folgen; zu ihnen braueht der Verfasser die kritische Diskussion der breiteren und der speziellsten Erdwissenschaften, der Meehanik und der Theorie schledathin.Ob eine quantitative Behandlung der angesehnittenen Probleme auf diesem Wege tiber die friiheren Anliiufe dieser Art (HuBBERT 1937, Ccoos 1989, BUCHE~ 1956 hinauskommen wird, muB abgewartet werden.
