An Mischkristallreihen Ba, Sr[SO4], K2[SO4, CrO4], Ba[SO4, CrO4], Ba[SO4, SeO4], Ba, K[SO4, MnO4], Bi[PO4, AsO4], Sr3[PO4, AsO4]2 und Ba3[PO4, AsO4]2 wird beobachtet, daß Kopplungen zwischen den Schwingungen benachbarter Anionen einen wesentlichen Anteil zur großen Breite der Valenzschwingungs‐absorption im festen Zustand liefern, insofern als schon bei Verdünnung auf etwa 20% für das betreffende Anion meist schmale Einzelbanden in der nach der site‐Symmetrie zu erwartenden Zahl erscheinen. Die Kopplungen werden mit steigender Ladung der Kationen verstärkt und mit zunehmender Masse derselben vermindert. Die Valenzfrequenzen der Anionen zeigen in den Verdünnungsreihen nur teilweise einheitliches Verhalten.
