Über den Ferrimagnetismus nichtstöchiometrischer Eisensulfide

Abstract: An synthetisch liergestellteii Eisensulfiden der Zusammensetzung FeS1+, (0 2 n 5 0,15) wurden magnetische Untersuchungen durchgefiihrt. Dabei interessierte besonders der ferrimngnetische Bereich (w0,10 < n < 0,15).Die experimentell erhaltenen Ergebnisse lassen sich mit einer Ordnungs-Unordnungs-Theorie ( B r a g g -W i l l i a m s ) verstehen, wobei angenommen wird, dal3 bei T = 0 sowohl die Fe+++-Ionen als auch die Leerstellen nur Platze in dem einen der beiden Untergitter besetzen.Versuche, in dem ferrimagne… Show more

“…The antiferromagnetic to ferrimagnetic phase transition referred to as the A transition in the cation deficient iron sulfide FegSlO has been studied by several workers [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Typical results obtained in our laboratory for the magnetization as a function of increasing temperature are shown in Fig.…”

“…to Fe S (pyrrhotite) (1). F o r 6 6 0.10 the substance is antiferromagnetic arid above = 0.10 ferrimagnetic near the magnetic order-disorder transition temperature T (1,2). The NBel and the ferrimagnetic C u r i e temperatures amount to about GOO on FeS (4) and pyrrhotite (5) have revealed that the spin alignment is in the snme direction in any c-plane of the hexagonal cell, but oppositely directed in the adjacent c-planes.…”
