Typology, classification and management issues of Greek lakes: implication of the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC)

Abstract: The European Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC, requires the determination of ecological status in European waterbodies, based primarily on biological indicators, and that minimum good ecological quality is obtained by 2015.
