Types of Seed Financing of Enterprises in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The present chapter deals with the extraordinary financing of a company at an early stage of its development. The different financing options are presented, with a special focus on seed financing, i.e. financing in the early stages, when it is difficult to obtain conventional external sources of capital (bank loans), usually due to the lack of corporate history. Specific possibilities of seed financing in the Czech Republic are presented as well as state guarantees for this financing as business support. To support the literature review, the authors present some public available data of the types of financing in the Czech Republic.
