Type and species catalogue of the minute tree-fungus beetles of the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, with general information on the Coleoptera collection, its curation and “Historical Collection” (Coleoptera, Polyphaga, Ciidae and Pterogeniidae)

Abstract: General information is given on the Coleoptera collection of the Museum fur Naturkunde in Berlin (MNHUB) comprising six million specimens and its "Historical Collection" very rich in types.The Ciidae (= Cisidae, = Cioidae) collection of the MNHUB is newly arranged. Data on supraspecific taxa and all represented nominal taxa of the species group and general information on type specimens (number and status) are electronically captured in an Access data base which is the basis of this paper.
