“…Very recently, two NRTs, NPF5.9 and NPF5.8, were found to act as NA transporters to redundantly enhance root‐to‐shoot Fe transport under Fe starvation (Chao et al., 2021). Consequently, the npf5.8/npf5.9 double mutants were extremely sensitive to Fe deficiency (Chao et al., 2021; Chen et al., 2021).
