Two new species of Rigidoporus (Agaricomycetes) from Brazil and new records from the Brazilian Amazonia

Abstract: Two new polypores, Rigidoporus grandisporus and R. mariae are described from the Brazilian Amazonia based on specimens deposited in herbarium INPA between 27 and 39 years ago, and material recently collected in the State of Pará. Besides the description of the new species, R. crocatus and R. undatus are reported as new records from the Brazilian Amazonia. Rigidoporus amazonicus, R. lineatus, R. ulmarius and R. vinctus are new records to different states of the Brazilian Amazonia. A key to the Rigidoporus speci… Show more

“…The measurements under field conditions showed a pronounced diurnal pattern in the coarse mode with the highest concentrations during nighttime, which has already been reported for other fungal species (Fernando et al, 2000;Gilbert and Reynolds, 2005;Stensvand et al, 1998). Aerosol and trace gas concentrations frequently have been shown to also display diurnal and seasonal patterns (Gadoury et al, 1998;Huffman et al, 2012a;Moran-Zuloaga et al, 2018;Pöhlker et al, 2012;20 Yáñez-Serrano et al, 2015).…”

“…2). Combined with micro-morphological details of the 5 hymenium and basidiospores, the species was identified as Rigidoporus microporus (Polyporales, Basidiomycota), which has already been reported for the Amazon area (Gomes-Silva et al, 2014). In the results section, the exemplary measurements made with the model species are presented.…”
