Two new NiII and ZnII metal–organic frameworks of glutarate and 1,4-bis[(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl]benzene ligands: syntheses, structures and luminescence sensing properties

“…33 Complex 2 has been synthesized here following a different synthetic technique but have the same structure which has been confirmed by all physicochemical studies. 33 To examine the effect of substitution and the variation of chain length on the studied properties (electrical conductivity and gas adsorption), two dicarboxylates (glutarate and methyl succinate) having the same molecular weight but different chain length and substitutions have been chosen.
