Two-Dimensional Metal-Polyphthalocyanine Conjugated Porous Frameworks as Promising Optical Limiting Materials

Abstract: Two-dimensional transition-metal-containing polyphthalocyanine conjugated porous frameworks are synthesized, and transition-metal (TM) ions ranging from Fe, Co, Ni, Cu to In are chosen to combine in phthalocyanine centers to tune their delocalized electronic structure. The fully closed planar delocalized π-conjugated frameworks exhibit efficient nonlinear optical absorption and excellent optical limiting performance under ns pulsed laser. The metal ion (Co, Ni) with ferromagnetism in phthalocyanine center mani… Show more

“…171–175 In particular, stable 2D-conjugated polymer frameworks also provide extensive applications in materials. 176–182 So far, the construction of 2D-conjugated polymer frameworks has mainly required covalent organic frameworks (COFs), π-conjugated metal organic frameworks (MOFs), hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) and supramolecular organic frameworks (SOFs). As early as 2016, Feng and co-workers 183 revealed the first construction of a 2D sp 2 -carbon-linked conjugated polymer framework.…”

“…As TCNE is continuously added to the solution, the absorption peak at 470 nm gradually increased until the absorption peak at 376 nm decreased to a minimum after the addition of 2 equivalents of TCNE, which indicates the complete conversion of Q to Q-11. In previous works [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 ], click chemistry is shown to be efficient and free of side reactions. In Figure 2 a, the production of extinction dots at 348 nm and 405 nm proves that the click reaction is side-reaction free.…”

“…In recent years, people have been looking for potential organic nonlinear materials with large π conjugated systems. Perylenetetracarboxylic diimide (PDI) and pyrene, as kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, not only have excellent fluorescence properties and electronic conductivity but also have large π conjugated rings and easy modification. They can be used as a structural unit to construct materials with excellent diversity and nonlinearity by controlling the number and types of substituents. In addition, alkyne bonds are widely used for the effective bonding of various groups to expand the π conjugated plane. , The introduction of alkynes into polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) can enlarge their π conjugated rings and greatly enhance the electron transport in the molecular system. In this context, two new pyrenyl Schiff base compounds with d -π– A structures were synthesized with pyrene as the charge transfer acceptor and alkynyl and imine as the conjugated bridge to enhance the electron transport, to study the connection between the properties and structure of nonlinear small molecules.…”
