Two-dimensional deformations in an initially stressed nonlocal micropolar thermoelastic porous medium subjected to a moving thermal load

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of the present paper is to investigate the thermo-mechanical interactions in an initially stressed nonlocal micropolar thermoelastic half-space having void pores under Lord–Shulman model. A moving thermal shock is applied to the formulation. Design/methodology/approach The normal mode technique is adopted to obtain the exact expressions of the physical quantities. Findings Numerical computations for stresses, displacement components, temperature field and change in the volume fraction f… Show more

“…Sheoran et al (2022) scrutinized the effects of magnetic field and initial stress in a nonlocal rotating thermoelastic half-space with temperature-dependent properties. Kundu et al (2023) examined the influence of initial stress and void parameters on a nonlocal micropolar thermoelastic medium. Li and Hu (2023) explored the impact of initial stress on the reflection and transmission coefficients and energy distribution of elastic waves at imperfectly bonded interface of the elastic medium.…”

“…By using the GN-III theory of thermoelasticity, Gupta et al (2020) have performed an analysis regarding the deformation of an exponentially graded rotating thermoelastic material with two types of voids. Kundu et al (2023) have discussed two-dimensional deformations in an initially stressed nonlocal micropolar thermoelastic porous medium subjected to a moving thermal load. Recently, Gupta et al (2022bGupta et al ( , 2023 have explored the thermo-mechanical deformation in a double porous material with voids subjected to fractional-order TPL and memory-dependent DPL thermoelasticity theories, respectively.…”
