The special issue of theTranspersonal Psychology Reviewon ‘Post-traumatic Growth and Spirituality’ focuses on the positive responses of adult ‘survivors’ to the grief and mourning that results from the death of close family members or friends. Another feature of the issue is the use of ‘autoethnography’, an acceptable way of using personal experience to illustrate specific psychological issues. This brief article will examine the issues raised when young children are affected by trauma.
