Abstract:In a placebo-controlled randomized double-blind cross-over study, 16 patients
with congestive heart failure (NYHA class II; 12 males and 4 females;
60.6 ± 6.2 years; body weight 72.2 ± 11.7 kg; mean ± SD) received single
oral doses of either 10 mg felodipine extended release, 20 mg nitrendipine, or
placebo. The patients were crossed over to the subsequent treatments after
