The keeled box turtle (Cuora mouhotii) is one such species found in China (Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, and possibly southern Yunnan), northern and central Vietnam, Laos, northern Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, and the state of Assam in India (Ernst and Barbour 1989;Zhao and Adler 1993;Turtle Taxonomy Working Group 2010).
