Turntaking in Family Interaction

Abstract: An examination of turntaking in 80 family triads was undertaken using the Defining Issues Test, to determine whether linkages would occur between same-sex or cross-sex parent-child systems. Contrary to expectations, no differences emerged in families with a male or female adolescent.
