This study was supported by the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey). bstract: With a history of more than 50 years in Germany; Turkish society, which has established several organisations spreaded to almost all states and regions, has become a prominent position in the country as of the size of its population and of having an active civil society life. Turkish society has hitherto been involved in many political, economic and cultural struggles mostly through these organisations. Recent agendas of Germany and Turkey and tensions between these two countries have brought Turkish society and its organisations into a much more important position compared to past, and partially have placed them at the focus of debates. Nevertheless, field researches outlining the profiles of Turkish organisations are hardly ever found in the current literature. The aim of this study is to contribute to the debate on Turkish civil society as well as to the related literature by profiling Turkish organisations operating in Federal State Bavaria based on some selected internal factors. In this study, qualitative (in-depth interviews) and quantitative (questionnaire) research methods are used, and 96 organisations, having 13.049 registered members, and generating 2447 activities on a yearly basis, have participated in the research. In research findings; some areas, such as target market selection, budget planning, and membership management, are identified where improvements at strategic, managerial, and operational levels are needed. Considering the characteristics of these organisations, such improvements could be achieved through proper human resources-and volunteer management, and by getting support from the outside world at the point of failure of internal mechanisms. Since a peaceful Turkish society a gain for both countries is; providing capacity-enhancing supports by relevant actors to such organisations is also considered to be important.
