Abstract: The increased prevalence of Salmonella contamination in poultry has gained considerable scientific attention during last decades. In this study, a total of 500 samples of rendered animal products (meat meal, meat-bone meal, blood meal, chicken meal and feather meal) were obtained from several feed factories and rendering plants in Turkey and these samples were analyzed for Salmonella spp., Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium status.
