Türk Kızılay’ının Afetteki rolü

Abstract

Özet:Dil, din, ırk ayrımı gözetmeden çalışmalarını sürdüren Türk Kızılay, dünyanın farklı bölgelerinde milyonlarca insana yardım eli uzatır. Afet müdahale ve afet lojistik sistemlerini ülke çapında yaygınlaştıran, bu ağ ile dünyanın en iyi afet örgütlenmelerinden birine sahiptir. Her geçen gün insani yardım alanında yürüttüğü yardım çalışmaları ile kapasitesini artıran Türk Kızılay, insani yardım çalışmalarında küresel bir aktör haline gelmiştir. Türk Kızılay son 10 yılda 78 farklı ülkede doğal ve insan kaynaklı afetlere müdahale etmiş, ihtiyaç sahiplerinin barınma ve beslenme gibi temel ihtiyaçları 137 ülkede karşılamıştır. Türk Kızılay, 9 Bölgesel, 23 Yerel Afet Müdahale ve Lojistik Merkezleri sayesinde en kısa sürede afet alanına ulaşmaktadır. Afet sonrası bölgedeki acil ihtiyaçları karşılayan Türk Kızılay, beslenme alanında ise mobil ekmek Fırını, mobil mutfak ve mobil ikram araçları ile kaliteli ve hızlı hizmetle afetzedelerin yanında olur. Yoğun nüfusuyla ve sanayinin bulunduğu bölge olduğundan daha fazla risk taşımaktadır. İhtiyaç sahibi ülkelerdeki projelerini konut, okul, toplum merkezi, ibadethane, kamu tesisleri inşası, geçim kaynaklarının temini ve desteklenmesi, sağlık, eğitim, sosyal yardım, tarım ve sulama gibi alanlarda yoğunlaşmıştır. Bu makalede son çeyrek asırda Türk Kızılay'ın ulusal ve uluslararası alandaki afette rolü değerlendirilecektir. Abstract:The Turkish Red Crescent working regardless of religion, language and racial discrimination lends a hand to millions of people in different regions of the world. It has one of the best disaster organizations of the world with its disaster response and disaster logistic system that it has extended nationwide. Increasing the capacity of its works every passing day in the field of humanitarian aid in disaster, it has attained a very important role globally. It has disaster operations in 78 different countries in natural and human related disasters in the last 10 years and has met shelter, nourishment and basic needs of needers in 137 countries to the present. It reaches the disaster areas in the shortest time by means of its 9 regional and 23 local disaster response and logistics centers. According to needs after disaster in the region, it meets the needs of the disaster victims in the field of nourishment with its Mobile Bakery Oven, Mobile Kitchen and Mobile Catering Vehicles providing good quality and fast service. Its activities on projects related to construction of houses, schools, community centers, house of prayers, public facilities and providing and supporting means of living and in the fields of health, education, social aids, agriculture and irrigation in the countries needing help. In this paper, the last quarter century, the role of Turkish Red Crescent in disaster of national and international field has been evaluated.

Evaluation of the emergency nutrition response in Malatya after Türkiye–Syria earthquake

“…In the wake of a natural disaster, emergency nutrition care is indispensable for sustaining the lives of victims and the rescue personnel (15) . The two major food aid institutions in Türkiye are the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), which is the main governmental disaster management agency operating under the Turkish Ministry of Interior, and the Turkish Red Crescent (KIZILAY) (16) . While AFAD is responsible for the whole rescue operation and the disaster management, KIZILAY is primarily responsible for providing emergency nutrition services and coordinating donations and other actors that could be present to provide food for the survivors of any natural or human-made disasters (17,18) .…”
