Tunneling phase diagrams in anisotropic Multi-Weyl semimetals

Abstract: Motivated by the exciting prediction of Multi-Weyl topological semimetals that are stabilized by point group symmetries [1], we study tunneling phenomena for a class of anisotropic Multi-Weyl semimetals. We find that a distant detector for different ranges of an anisotropy parameter λ and incident angle θ will measure a different number of propagating transmitted modes. We present these findings in terms of phase diagrams that is valid for an incoming wave with fixed wavenumber k-energy is not fixed. To gain a… Show more

“…Multi-Weyl semimetals have been predicted to show many interesting properties such as chiral effects, anomalous transport phenomena and distinct optical signatures [59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73]. There have been a number of interesting recent studies on optical response of Weyl semimetals [74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81][82]. Weyl semimetals are a special class of materials that have strong spin-orbit coupling that modulates band anti-crossings and band inversion to give large BCD and strong non-linear Hall effects.…”
