Tunable superconductivity in parent cuprate Pr2CuO4±δ thin films*

Abstract: In this article, we studied the role of oxygen in Pr2CuO 4±δ thin films fabricated by polymer assisted deposition method. The magnetoresistance and Hall resistivity of Pr2CuO 4±δ samples were systematically investigated. It is found that with decreasing the oxygen content, the low-temperature Hall coefficient (RH ) and magnetoresistance change from negative to positive, similar to those with the increase of Ce-doped concentration in R2−xCexCuO4 (R= La, Nd, Pr, Sm, Eu). In addition, Tc versus RH for both Pr2−xC… Show more

“…Firstly, the precursor solution was prepared by mixing Pr/Cu nitrates, polyethylenimine (PEI) and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) in deionized water, as described in Ref. [32]. The precursor solution was first spin-coated on STO substrates and calcined at 550°C in air to remove the organic residues.…”

“…PCO becomes superconducting by either electron injection with Ce doping, namely Pr 2Àx Ce x CuO 4 , or carefully tuning the oxygen content via an annealing process, with a superconducting dome indicated by the blue region in Fig. 1a [30][31][32]. Therefore, this system provides an ideal platform for studying high-T c superconductivity via ILG.…”
