“…The comparison of the activities of the spinels prepared for this investigation with the data from the literature reveals that the MCF-S catalyst possesses excellent efficiency in the studied oxidation reactions. It shows lower “light-off” temperatures than single Co 3 O 4 oxide [ 42 ], SBA-15-supported binary Co-Mn-oxides [ 43 ], and copper, nickel, or manganese ferrites [ 23 , 44 ].…”

“…For example, ZnFe 2 O 4 shows normal cation distribution, NiFe 2 O 4 is a representative of inverse spinels, while MnFe 2 O 4 and CoFe 2 O 4 are partially inverse spinels and the degree of the inversion depends on the preparation conditions. Our previous paper it is reported the influence of the type of fuel used in solution combustion synthesis on the catalytic properties in VOCs oxidation of MnFe 2 O 4 [ 23 ]. It was found that specific structural and morphological characteristics of the prepared spinels are responsible for their oxidation properties at relatively low temperatures.…”

“…During the process, by mixing Zn (NO 3 ) 2 ·6H 2 O, Fe (NO 3 ) 3 ·9H 2 O and glycine, sparks were generated when heated to the critical temperature and the burned product formed into brown fluffy ZnFe 2 O 4 powder. Combined with the results of the expected morphology shown in Figure 2 , the advantages of the combustion synthesis method, like the convenience, environmental protection, economy, and high efficiency [ 17 ], mean it should be followed up to a certain extent in the synthesis of materials.…”

“…The combustion method also offers several advantages such as high purity and homogeneity of the catalyst [24]. One of the latest developments to increase the catalytic activity of LDH catalysts is to introduce and regulate the type of fuel used during synthesis through the combustion method.…”
