Abstract: BackgroundLong-term dysbiosis of the gut microbiome has a significant impact on the development, progression and the aggressiveness of colorectal cancer (CRC) and may explain part of the observed heterogeneity of the disease from phenotypic, prognostic and response to treatment perspectives.
