Abstract

The concept of stromal gastrointestinal tumors has been changing as the technology moves forward in the field of pathology and inmunohistoquemichal studies. These tumors are rare in the general pathology of the gastrointestinal system, but are frequent in the mesenquimal pathology in general.This work is targted to Radiologists so they can know the newest concepts in the clinical, radiological and pathology features of the stromal gastrointestinal tumors, to help with a prompt diagnostic that improves the survival of patients.The importance of knowing the clinical, radiological and pathology features of the stromal gastrointestinal tumors resides in the swift diagnosis that helps improve the general survival.
