In this current review of Tulsi, we sought to review the medicinal properties of Tulsi. Therapeutic use of plants is believed to be as safe, inexpensive, and efficient as they are readily available. Plants known for their medicinal properties include the Ocimum genus. Tulsi is a medicinal plant native to India, highly valued for its medicinal and therapeutic effects. Some of the medicinal properties of tulsi are found in its roots, leaves and seeds. The effects on the human body are wide-ranging. It chronically cures many ailments because of its chemical constituents and is thought to have anti-aging and immunomodulatory properties, as well as anti-bacterial and anti-cancer properties.Tulsi is called the Queen of Indian Herbs and is the most sacred. In Healthy Herbs she is one. Tulsi is renowned for its important role in traditional Ayurvedic and Unani systems of physical fitness, health and oriental herbal medicine. This plant belongs to the Labiatae family and is characterized by square stems and a unique aroma. Tulsi is used in Ayurvedic medicine and its extracts are used in Ayurvedic therapy for colds, headaches, upset stomach, pain, heart disease, many poisonings and malaria. All studies show good clinical results. Results were reported, but no study reported serious adverse events. The research reviewed supports traditional use and suggests that tulsi is an effective treatment for lifestyle-related chronic conditions such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and psychological stress. Further research is needed to investigate the dosage, clarify dosages and forms of delivery, and determine which populations are most likely to benefit from the therapeutic effects of Tulsi.OS was revered in nearly all ancient Ayurvedic texts for its extraordinary medicinal properties. It has a hot and bitter taste, hot, light and dry. Its seeds are considered cold-acting. Tulsi roots, leaves and seeds have several medicinal properties. Ayurvedic textbooks classify OS as stimulant, aromatic and antipyretic. It aggravates pitta while soothing Kapha and Vata. It has a wide range of effects on the human body, primarily as an antitussive, antiperspirant, and a palliative for indigestion and anorexia.

Indigenous medicinal plants like Azadirachta Indica, Mentha, Ocimum Tenuiflorum, Phyllanthus emblica and Aloe vera is traditionally used for treating different ailments in India. It is considered as safe medicinal plants and modulates the numerous biological processes without any adverse effect. It is a vital principle in the prevention control, and reduction of any acquired infection. We aim to present the herbal preparation for human health hazard free bio disinfectant. Indigenous medicinal plants with reported effective results against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Serratia marcescens, Bacillus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi along with least toxic impact on environment. The antimicrobial activities by agar well diffusion indicated by zone of inhibition were resulted against Escherichia coli (24 mm), Staphylococcus aureus (10 mm), Serratia marcescens (11 mm), Bacillus (20 mm), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (22mm), Salmonella typhi (15 mm). The highest potential was observed in methanolic extract as compared to aqueous extract with even concentration. The use of medicinal plants extracts in bio disinfectant spray is mainly due to the anti-allergic, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties are present. The antioxidant activity was linearly proportional to the concentration and the result showed that the antioxidant activity of all the extracts was found to increase in concentration with increased absorbance of the reaction mixture indicates increase in antioxidant activity. The formulation was evaluated for its physical parameters. It is sure that these ingredients on combination behave as an effective bio-disinfectant product. It can be used as a gel, liquid, spray on medical device and it also plays an important role in the production of various types of disinfectant products. Natural herbal bio disinfectants are affordable, effective and environmentally friendly.

Facewash is one type of cosmeceuticals as well as semisolid dosage forms used for external purposes. It is applied on the skin surface to protect the skin from various microbial attacks. This type of cosmeceutical is also used to clean different types of skin problems like skin acne, skin pimples, skin rashes, dark circles, black spot, oily skin, skin discolored, etc. In this study, we have formulated one herbal face wash containing different extraction of herbal materials like fresh aloevera gel, leaves of neem, turmeric, lemon juice, Fresh leaves of Tulsi, fresh pudina leaves, Chandan, liquorice, Honey, Coffee, Multani mati, rose water as well as various types of excipients like sodium CMC, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium benzoate, glycerol and distilled water. After formulation study we focused the evaluation cum validation of the formulated new herbal facewash like testing of pH ,Spreadability test, foam forming test, etc.
