Abstract:La tuberculosis mamaria, enfermedad descrita como rara, se presenta con relativa frecuencia en nuestro medio. En el Perú, representa el 2-2,9% del total de tuberculosis extrapulmonares, la mayoría de los casos se presenta en mujeres jóvenes entre 20-40 años con diversos grados de inmunosupresión. Frecuentemente el diagnóstico se confunde con neoplasia, absceso de mama o mastopatía fibroquística debido a la inespecificidad del cuadro clínico y de los estudios de imágenes.
