Trustworthy Group Making Algorithm in Distributed Systems

Abstract: Information systems are being shifted to scalable architectures like Cloud and peerto-peer (P2P) models. In this paper, we consider the P2P model as a fully distributed, scalable system different from centralized coordinated systems in Cloud and Grid systems. A P2P system is composed of peer processes (peers). Here, applications are realized by activities of peers and cooperations among multiple peers. In P2P systems, since there is no centralized coordination, each peer has to obtain information about other p… Show more

“…Firstly, we propose a novel algorithm using AHP methodology [19] to calculate weight values [20] of nodes in the neighborhood of the source and the destination. The nodes with maximum weight values in the vicinity of the source and the destination are elected as the LMT nodes for the source and the destination, respectively.…”

“…The PZH keeps track of all services in the zone and provides functionality to enable their discovery and mutual communication. This way, the PZH facilitates cross-device interaction with personal services over the Internet [1]. Moreover, PZHs are federated, allowing applications to easily discover and share data and services residing on other people's devices.…”

“…Given that the set of witness vehicles for a given one in a certain moment could be seen as a group, previous works on group formation and communication could be considered [21,22]. Given the high mobility of vehicles, it could be possible that the intended group members were not present when they are requested.…”
