Abstract: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are post-transcriptional gene regulators. In the miRNA pathway’s cytoplasmic part, the miRNA is processed from a hairpin-structured precursor (pre-miRNA) to a double-stranded (ds) mature RNA and ultimately to a single-stranded mature miRNA.
