Abstract:A viscose rayon succinate (VRS) was synthesized using viscose rayon, succinic anhydride and DMSO. The VRS was well characterized by C 13 nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform infrared analysis and properties of the VRS up taking trivalent metals from aqueous solution were investigated. Both esterification and carboxyl bonding of the VRS were assigned essentially at 1729 and 1693 cm À1 , respectively. And the essential band of bonding between metal and the material was determined at 1605-1639 cm À1 . Th… Show more

Then, certain amount of CPm was measured and added to the solutions to make specific concentration of polymer solution and stirred for 3 h. After dissolving thoroughly, the solutions were poured onto petri-dishes.…”

“…However, many environmentalist have highlighted problems with using these halogen derivatives because toxic gases are produced from these flame retardants during a fire. Therefore, it is important to develop new flame retardants as substitutes for halogen-based flame retardants [1][2][3][4][5].…”
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
