Trigonometric parallax of IRAS 22555+6213 with VERA: Three-dimensional view of sources along the same line of sight

Abstract: 1We report the results of the measurement of the trigonometric parallax of an H 2 O maser source in IRAS 22555+6213 with the VLBI Exploration of Radio Astrometry (VERA). The annual parallax was determined to be 0.314±0.070 mas, corresponding to a distance of 3.18 +0.90 −0.66 kpc. Our results confirm IRAS 22555+6213 to be located in the Perseus arm. We computed the peculiar motion of IRAS 22555+6213 to beand W src are directed toward the Galactic center, in the direction of Galactic rotation and toward the Gala… Show more

“…The functions K 1 and K 2 match, only if the relation f n Z i − 2B n = 0. Recall that when considering ansatzes (68) and (69), for Z 0 = 1 the value f n − 2B n is V min = k 1 and 2k 1 respectively for ( (40) and (42)). We want to obtain the solutions of equations for centrally symmetric gravity confirmed by the observational data.…”

“…Figures 25 and 26 show the graphs of the field Z(r) and "observed circular rotational velocities". It is interesting to compare Figure 23 with the Figure 27 made on the basis of observational data [68], as well as on the website (National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, https://phys.org/ news/2012-10-mass-dark-revealed-precise-milky.html). In our case, for the considered parameter values, we can estimate the "period" T∼6.4 kpc (Figures 25 and 26).…”

“…There are mainly two different solutions of this problem. Assuming uncorrelated and normal uncertainties, one may introduce a'priori introduced "error floor" added in quadrature to raw uncertainties in order to obtain the reduced χ 2 ν 1 (e.g., Chibueze et al 2014;Forbrich et al 2013). Additional interferometric observations of compact extragalactic sources spread over the sky are used to measure broad-band delays (Reid et al 2009).…”
