“…A comparison with the non‐fluorinated phenylimidorhenium(V) complex [Re(NPh)Cl 3 (PPh 3 ) 2 ] confirms the findings for the previously discussed aniline complex, that the fluorination of the phenylimido ligands has no significant influence on the bond lengths and angles in the coordination sphere of the metal ions. Selected bond lengths and angles of [Re(NPhF)(NH 2 PhF)Cl 3 (PPh 3 )] and [Re(NPhF)Cl 3 (PPh 3 ) 2 ] are compared in Table .…”

“…The Re−N bond length of 1.721(4) Å and the nearly linear Re−N−C1 organoimido bond angle of 171.4(4)° are typical of multiple bonded rhenium(V) monoimido complexes (1.69−1.75 Å, 156−180°) . The Re−Cl and Re−P distances are similar to those reported for the closely related complex [Re(NPh)Cl 3 (PPh 3 ) 2 ] . The N -succinimidyl ester carbonyl group of 2 is situated remotely from the coordination environment of the metal and is not perturbed by it.…”

“…14 Nevertheless, the Re-N distance in ReCl 2 (NH)(NHNH 2 )(PPh 3 ) 2 is long apparently due to strong trans influence of the hydrazido ligand. It might be noted that the Re-N distance in 7 is closer to that in the BCl 3 adduct Re(NBCl 3 )L 2 (1.672(3) Å) 10 than to those typical for organoimido-Re(V) complexes, e.g., Re(NPh)Cl 3 (PPh 3 ) 2 (1.726(6) Å), 15 which contain nitrogen-carbon covalent bonds. This Re-N bond distance may suggest the resonance structure RetN δ--H δ+ for 7.…”
