“…The scholarly interest on Minority‐Serving Institutions (MSIs) has grown tremendously over the last ten years. This includes research on Hispanic‐Serving Institutions (HSIs; Garcia, 2019; Serrano, 2022); Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs; Williams et al., 2019); Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs; Crazy Bull et al., 2020; Motl et al., 2018); Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander‐Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs; Buenavista, 2021; Nguyen, 2020); Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions (ANNHs; Keene, 2016); Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs; Jones, 2019); and Native American‐Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTIs; Rochat, 2015; Zape‐tah‐hol‐ah Minthorn, 2022), respectively.
