Triangle singularities in $$B^-\rightarrow D^{*0}\pi ^-\pi ^0\eta $$ B - → D ∗ 0 π - π 0 η and $$B^-\rightarrow D^{*0}\pi ^-\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ B - → D ∗ 0 π - π + π -

Abstract: The possible role of the triangle mechanism in the B − decay into D * 0 π − π 0 η and D * 0 π − π + π − is investigated. In this process, the triangle singularity appears from the decay of B − into D * 0 K − K * 0 followed by the decay of K * 0 into π − K + and the fusion of the K + K − , which forms the a 0 (980) or f 0 (980), which finally decay into π 0 η or π + π − , respectively. The triangle mechanism from theK * KK loop generates a peak around 1420 MeV in the invariant mass of π − a 0 or π − f 0 , and i… Show more

“…This feature suggests that for relatively narrow widths the treatment of Ref. [55] can also provide a reliable evaluation of the TS contributions. Figure 6 also shows that when s 1 goes closer to s 1c , the amplitude becomes larger.…”

“…Here we take into account explicitly the h 1 ð1380Þ and K Ãþ propagators, and hence, automatically the mass distribution of these two states. We have now the double differential mass distribution [51]…”

“…The studies of many processes including the triangle singularity elucidate the possible effect of the triangle singularity on the hadron properties, e.g., the η(1405) decay into π 0 a 0 or π 0 f 0 [44][45][46], the possible origin of Z c (3900) [47][48][49], the speculation on the pentaquark candidate P c [50][51][52] (see Ref. [53] for a critical discussion to the light of the preferred experimental quantum numbers [54]), the B s decay into Bππ [55] and B − decays [56,57]. Here, we note that the strength of the triangle peak is tightly connected with the coupling strength of the two hadrons merging into a third one.…”
