Trends in the development of technical means for sowing perennial grasses and maintaining productive longevity of degenerate forage lands

Abstract

Three promising directions for the development of technical means are given for sowing perennial grasses and restoring forage lands without plowing. Stubble, cavity and sod cut. Stubble or stubble sowing is applied immediately after harvesting grain crops. Saves time and reduces the cost of creating forage areas. Cavity is used on forage lands after their use for 3–5 years to improve cultural herbage. The method of cutting sod with sowing seeds into the formed cracks, followed by rolling, is used to restore the productivity of hayfi elds and pastures. The necessity of developing domestic machines for the above technologies is substantiated. Examples of combined machines are given, demonstrating the high quality of work and material savings.
