Trends in Education Welfare Research in Korea

Abstract

This article aims to investigate the trends of Education Welfare researches in Korea. For this study, a content analysis was employed in relation to topics, targets and methods of 596 articles, masters and doctoral thesis published from 2003 to 2012.The results reveal that the papers have expanded to adjacent fields. The analysis of the topics shows that institutionalization papers have decreased, on the other hand, researches on the role of the social worker showed an increase. Middle school students were the most common target and quantitative methods were the most used. In future, multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary researches presenting a wide diversity of topics and targets should be considered.■ keyword :|Education Welfare|Trends|Content Analysis|
