Abstract: Foreign direct investment (FDI) movement to any country is recognized as an important criterion for economic strength and potentiality. “…At the same time, another group of researchers showed the adverse effects of FDI, especially in environmental degradation through carbon emission and energy consumption escalation, typically fossil fuels. Second, the line of empirical evidence concentrated on exploring the key determinants attracting foreign investments and subsequently advocated for both macro and micro fundamentals, which can play an important role in ensuring persistent inflows of FDI in the economy, such as institutional quality, economic growth, financial development, domestic capital formation, and financial inclusion (Vijayakumar et al, 2010;Barthel et al, 2011;Saini and Singhania, 2018;Chattopadhyay et al, 2022). “…According to investment trends, the rising demand for digital infrastructure has largely paid for the pandemic's damage recovery. Additionally, it will take some time for the "manufacturing industry" to recover since the majority of businesses suffered losses in the marketplace and were forced to close during that time (Chattopadhyay et al, 2022). The main concerns that hindered the recovery of most industries were the length of the pandemic and the pace of vaccination.…”

“…Conflict zones: environmental characteristics Today in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the global business environment has experienced an unprecedent level of uncertainty (Anayi et al, 2021;Romdhane et al, 2022;Chattopadhyay et al, 2022), which has caused major fluctuations in FDI. For markets that are already experiencing conflict, the impacts of the pandemic are like to be even greater (Dhabaan et al, 2020), as conflict zones already suffer from highly volatile, uncertain, complex and risky (Anderson et al, 2010;Hacioglu et al, 2012;Driffield et al, 2013) conditions.…”
