“…Nutrient supplementation resulted in improvement in growth parameters, particularly TDW and NAR of tree seedlings of all the species under different light conditions. These observations indicate that in usually nutrient limited soils of tropical dry forests, addition of nutrients may have beneficial effect on tree seedling growth as reported by several studies (Barbosa, van Langevelde, et al, 2014; Barbosa, Tomlinson, et al, 2014; Bhadouria, Srivastava, et al, 2017; Khurana & Singh, 2004). The presence or absence of grasses in these forests has a very crucial role in tree seedlings recruitment and overall vegetation dynamics (Bhadouria et al, 2018; Bhadouria, Srivastava, et al, 2017).
