<div><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="left"><tbody><tr><td align="left" valign="top"><p class="AbstractText">Research conducted on public administration in Lithuania covers various subjects related to different fields and activities within the public sector. However, most research focuses only on challenges associated with the civil service and local self-government in Lithuania. This research aims to define public administration research and improve understanding of the progress and trajectory of contemporary public sector research in Lithuania. The research methods include document analysis, qualitative descriptive approaches, and historical data analysis. Moreover, the triangulation method verifies research results by integrating data and observations from many sources. The research results found that in the development of public law in Lithuania, researchers in the field of Lithuanian public administration focused on the goals of government reform, civil service modernization, creative solutions, and trends and reforms in central and regional administration. They also concentrate on social policy procedures, improving public governance, and intelligent examination of public administration. Lithuanian authors also focus on improving public governance through the use of the concepts of cooperation, participation, and teamwork. The study of Lithuanian public administration is closely related to the evolution of traditional public administration, focusing on evaluating new public management practices and implementing various public management innovations in government sector organizations since the start of state restoration. Future directions of public administration research in Lithuania will focus on addressing the challenges faced by the public sector and society in other countries. These challenges include sustainable development, climate change, gender equality, and other contemporary issues that directly or indirectly impact the public sector.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

The social welfare of the community, as a reflection of the quality of life, is characterized by a dynamic and complex nature, and is now becoming an increasingly relevant and more debatable topic in the scientific community. An integrated assessment of social welfare becomes the most important prerequisite for increasing the quality of life. The theoretical studies of social welfare assessment have shown that in order to assess it, a systematic approach is needed that distinguishes living quality factors and their groups and identifies the relationships between them. It is obvious that only the assessment of the existing social welfare situation can form the direction of improving the quality of life. In this article the authors, analyzing the issue of social welfare management as one of the most painful problems of the community today, define the concept of quality of life and social welfare, identify factors of social welfare quality and their assessment indicators, reveal the peculiarities of community-oriented activities. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the authors of the article present a conceptual model illustrating community social welfare management and improving the quality of social life by responding to the needs of the community. The model consists of 5 main stages, each stage solving individual tasks. In the initial stages, an analysis of the current situation is carried out in the aspect of determinants of social welfare, the existing level is determined and comparison with the previous periods is performed. In the next stages a social welfare development plan is being prepared and implemented. According to the authors, applying the proposed model of social welfare management in the community, it is possible to ensure a higher level of social quality of life. Research method is the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, logical, comparative and graphic representation.

Violence leaves long-lasting scars on children's lives and protecting children from violence remains an important and pressing issue for researchers, public policy makers and public service professionals. This article aims to reveal the experiences of professionals who ensure the protection of children from violence. The following tasks have been set: first, to define a theoretical approach to the practical protection of children from domestic violence; second, to determine the peculiarities of ensuring the protection of children from violence by means of analysis of the experience of specialists. The study used semi-structured interviews. The research in municipality N revealed that various specialists from state and non-governmental institutions are involved in the process: psychologists, child protection specialists, social workers, social educators, employees of medical institutions, mobile teams, police representatives and children's day care centers. The study results showed that one of the most significant positive aspects of ensuring the protection of children from post-reform violence is an established case management position and having a mobile team. The following advantages of providing mobile team support tools have emerged: identifying the initial difficulties of family members and a thorough, in-depth analysis of the problem across a wide range of areas of life; intensive involvement of professionals in assisting the family and the child. The study highlighted the main work challenges that professionals have to overcome: quality assurance at work, emotional experiences at work, the need for psychological support, the ability to manage stressful situations, working with problem adolescents, parental aggression and the reluctance of children and parents to accept help. There are various obstacles in implementing the assistance plan for professionals (unopened investigation, lack of services and availability of services) and therefore it is necessary to find ways to overcome these obstacles.
