Abstract:Congenital cleft foot is a rare anomaly that exhibits many morphological variations. The typical cleft foot is characterized by congenital absence of one or several median rays bordering the cleft. Treatment has been focused on improving function and aesthetic appearance. The most common surgical treatment in the literature includes excision of the useless bony remnants and closure of the cleft.
