Treatment of Refractory Ventricular Fibrillation by Combined Internal (Epicardial) and External (Transthoracic) Defibrillation

Abstract: This report describes a modified defibrillation technique used successfully in a patient with an implanted epicardial cardioverter defibrillator who developed refractory ventricular fibrillation.
