Abstract: The frequency of rectal neuroendocrine tumors increases with the increase in the number of colonoscopies performed for colorectal cancer screening. The treatment of localized rectal well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors involves local excision, including endoscopic treatment or rectal resection with lymphadenectomy.
