Treatment of familial hypercholesterolaemia in children and adolescents in the last three decades

Abstract: Long-term statin-based therapy can reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels in most children and adolescents with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia and decrease cardiovascular risk significantly.
