As one of the most common cardiac manifestations of systemin lupus erythematous (SLE), Libman-Sacks (LS) endocarditis is a non-bacterial form of thrombotic endocarditis characterized by sterile vegetations deposited on heart valves consisting of fibrin mixed with immune complexes and platelets.
