Abstract:Laron syndrome is a rare, genetic, growth hormone insensitivity disorder caused by mutations in the growth hormone receptor gene. Affected patients have severe postnatal growth failure, characteristic facial features, and metabolic abnormalities, including severe obesity and metabolic syndrome.
