Treating Preoperative Anemia to Improve Patient Outcomes After Orthopaedic Surgery

Abstract: For patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery, preoperative risk modification and control of comorbidities can maximize safety and improve outcomes. Anemia is common among orthopaedic patients, and its prevalence increases with patient age.
