Tratamento fisioterapêutico após reconstrução do ligamento cruzado anterior

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the existence of differences in the rehabilitation of patients after ACL reconstruction using bone-patellar tendon-bone graft and the four-strand semitendinosus and gracilis tendon grafts, through a literature revision. The researched databases were MEDLINE, EMBASE, LILACS, COCHRANE and PEDro. The inclusion criteria were published studies with methodology draw from randomized clinical trials with or without meta-analysis, individuals with ACL injury, associated or not … Show more

“… 215 Also, patient education is an important part of the rehabilitation process. Pereira et al 163 reviewed 5 studies comparing rehabilitation for BPTB versus HT grafts and found no differences between these grafts; however, the authors recommended that emphasis should be placed on knee flexion strength for HT grafts. Wasielewski et al 222 systematically reviewed 8 studies that evaluated electromyographic biofeedback of the quadriceps femoris as an adjunct to therapeutic exercise in multiple knee conditions, including ACL-reconstructed knees, which showed some improvement in functional outcomes and extensor torque.…”

“…The number of physical therapy sessions in these accelerated programs varies greatly but generally averages around 20 sessions, most of which occur in the first three month[49,53]. Home based programs, which average around 4 sessions within the same timeframe, have been found to be equally effective for motivated patients[47,53-57]. …”

“…Such a limitation does not have a positive in uence on muscle strength, particularly knee extensors. Researchers agree that after rehabilitation the values of muscle strength should be similar to those from before the surgery [20,21,22] One of the elements of therapy of patients after ACL reconstruction can be electrostimulation of the quadriceps muscle, which helps to rebuild muscle strength. Currently, in the rehabilitation of patients after ACL reconstruction HiToP is used, which in addition to muscle stimulation supports cell metabolism, thereby reducing pain [8].…”
